A classic game of two halves played out on a chilly Sunday morning as Trimโs Adult Div 3 Ladies fell just short against a well-organised Dunshaughlin & Royal Gaels (DRG) side in Round 3 of the league.

Trim absorbed early pressure well, with DRG missing two early chances before A. McDonnell opened the scoring with a point from a free. DRG were sharp in possession, pressing Trimโs kickouts and keeping the ball moving, but struggled to convert that into scores in the opening stages.
Trimโs defensive line stood firm, and ten minutes in, a quick move upfield saw S. Murphy and K. Newman combine to feed E. Hanifan, who rattled the net for the gameโs opening goal.
DRG responded with a point, but Trim answered through S. Murphy, taking a precise pass from S. Caulfield. Trimโs defence continued to frustrate DRG, but a missed clearance gifted DRG possession, and a well-timed through ball forced a penalty. Keeper G.
